Kevin Naiqama shares update following St Helens exit

Kevin Naiqama (3) of St Helens during pre match warm up

Kevin Naiqama and his partner are getting ready to go back to Australia, ending the family’s three-year stay in St Helens.

The Fijian centre certainly made his mark felt at the Lancashire club, helping Saints to three Grand Final victories in a row as well as a Challenge Cup success in 2021.

Naiqama scored 33 tries in 65 appearances and also scooped up the Harry Sunderland Trophy for the role he played in helping Saints win the 2021 Grand Final, scoring two tries in a 12-10 victory over the Catalans Dragons.

The 32-year-old posted this on social media giant Instagram: “3 years ago on this day we arrived in England. Now packing the house and getting ready to move back home.”

He can also be seen hugging former Saints coach Justin Holbrook upon his arrival – the man who guided the club to victory in the 2019 Grand Final.

His partner shared more: “Our house is now basically empty and the feels are kicking in. Just the container to arrive to pack our bed and gym and clothes!”

Naiqama earned a reputation whilst at Saints for being Mr. Dependable with an incredible skillset.

Ever the opportunist, the Fijian provided the Lancashire club with some silky talent out wide whilst also bringing a humble and professional attitude on and off the field.
