Kevin Naiqama reacts to his St Helens departure

St Helens’ Kevin Naiqama will be heading back to Australia at the end of this season – whether that stay will be prolonged with another victorious Grand Final under his belt remains to be seen.

But, the Fijian international has spoken about just how surreal the experience of turning out at the Totally Wicked Stadium once last time in front of the St Helens fans will be.

“It’s pretty surreal thinking about tomorrow being my last game of what’s been three years,” Naiqama told Saints TV.

“It’s been an incredible time here, me and my wife have both loved our time at St Helens and it’s going to be really sad to say goodbye.

“Hopefully we can get the win here tomorrow and proceed to the Grand Final.”

Already a two-time Grand Final and one-time Challenge Cup winner with Saints, Naiqama will be hoping to bow out at the Red Vee with a hat-trick of winners’ rings.
