Kevin Brown suggests dropped Super League stars aren’t “team first”

Weekend meet this week.

Huddersfield Giants were thumped by Super League and World Champions St Helens 48-6 despite taking a 6-0 lead.

Meanwhile, Warrington Wolves were beaten by Hull FC despite leading 12-0.

The Wolves subsequently ended the week no longer in top spot as they continue to struggle for consistency after an eight game winning run ended.

They have lost the last two and will hope to turn things around against Huddersfield live on Sky Sports tonight.

When the team news came in there was a big decision.

The big news is that Jake Connor has been dropped entirely and is the 18th man.

Tui Lolohea is also dropped to the bench as Will Pryce moves to fullback. Olly Russell returns to start in the halves.

Leroy Cudjoe starts in the backrow for the Giants again as new signing Adam Milner starts on the bench.

Kevin Brown has has his say on the matter saying their absence will give them a much more “team first” performance.

He said: “With respect to them, they should probably get a much more team first performance and a good kicking game.

“My worry would be if this doesn’t work does he tear this up and go back to the old one?”
