Kevin Brown raises huge Wigan Warriors concern

Kevin Brown has raised a concern for Wigan Warriors.

The former Wigan stand-off believes the club have a headache when it comes to his old position.

He believes Jai Field isn’t a stand off and was found out against Catalans Dragons at thee Magic Weekend.

Not only does this create a problem at stand-off but it begs the question, what will Wigan do with Bevan French.

“I think the fact they have the headache of Bevan French playing so well, they’ve kept him at fullback and they’ve put Jai Field back to half back where he really struggled if you think back to the first year he came over before his injury. He’s the one who got found out,” Brown said on The Last Tackle podcast.

“Steve McNamara’s done his game plan to perfection. I don’t think he can play there and defend in the line. I think he’s one of those players who is unbelievable as a fullback but as a stand-off he’s just not built for that. I 100% believe that that’ll be the last time we see him as a six.”

What Wigan will do in this key area remains to be seen.

Tonight they take on St Helens.
