Kevin Brown backs youngster to be a “revelation” in Super League

Former Super League star Kevin Brown has claimed that Hull FC youngster Davy Litten is “a revelation.”

Litten has played frequently this season including in preferred position fullback where he really impressed against Leeds Rhinos and Huddersfield Giants.

On him, Brown said: “The man at the back Davy Litten has been a revelation. He’s giving that youthful energy that he isn’t afraid, he isn’t swallowed up by expectations or the disappointment of the derby match.

“He’s just going out playing and it looks like it’s spreading through that team so for Wigan it probably is a little bit dangerous.”

Litten’s form does raise a big question over injured star signing Tex Hoy who was signed to play fullback.

Either way, Brown believes Hull FC could be a “dangerous” opponent for Wigan Warriors tonight:

“If you go against Wigan in a structured approach and try to be better than Wigan at what they do then they’ve got the resilience and toughness plus the X factor of French.

“The way Hull are playing I think it will be a little bit of a worry for Matty Peet because it’s hard to coach against.

“Sometimes I don’t think they know what they’re doing so it’s difficult to plan your defence for that.”
