Kevin Brown has said Huddersfield Giants have been “underwhelming” this year ahead of their clash against Hull KR tonight.
Brown meanwhile has said that Hull KR have been the opposite with the Robins in the top three.
“On the flip side Hull KR have been the opposite. They’ve been an absolute revelation. It’s the best start they’ve had in a Super League season,” Brown said on BBC Five Live before backing halfbacks Jordan Abdull and Mikey Lewis to push Jonny Lomax and Lewis Dodd for England spots.
“Jordan Abdull and Mikey Lewis are two players that will push Jonny Lomax, Lewis Dodd and the rest of the spine for that England jersey.
“I think Jordan Abdull pulled out late but he might have been playing.
“They’ve been fantastic. Willie Peters has come in and made into a tough team to play against.”

Abdull is out for the next six weeks sadly but Brown still backs them against the Giants:
“They’ll be the favourites this week against Huddersfield and no one would have expected that before the season.
“I think at Hull KR, the amount of passion and the amount of people turning up to watch such a good team. I don’t think anyone will go there expecting to win or relish the chance because it’s such a tough place to go.”
