Rugby league was sent into a frenzy yesterday when Kenny Edwards was charged with a Grade F “contrary to other behaviour” action.
It had later been revealed that the Huddersfield star had stuck a finger up Sam Kasiano’s buttocks in the Giants’ heavy defeat to Catalans on Friday.
But, Edwards was keen to set the record straight.
“It’s bulls***t,” Edwards said.
“Me and Sam (Kasiano) are best friends and they have blown a joke between two mates way out of proportion.
“My name is getting dragged from pillar to post because the headlines say I’ve tried to put my fingers in someone’s ass!
“We travelled to Dubai in the off-season together with our families, so we are all very close.
“I don’t like what’s being said about me.”
