Keith Senior’s Super League Predictions: Round 26

Leeds Rhinos vs St Helens (Thursday 7.45pm)

Leeds will be in high spirits after their two big wins on the bounce which has pretty much guaranteed safety. Saints will obviously have one eye on next week and won’t want to pick up any injuries. This should be a good game with the pressure off both teams so I expect a high-scoring game and I have a feeling Saints will edge it.

Wigan Warriors vs Warrington Wolves (Friday 7.45pm)

Wigan will move level with their opponents if they win this and they come in as favourites. Warrington are doing things tough at the moment and could head to Wembley on a five-game losing streak. Blake Austin is a huge miss and although I expect the Wolves to give this a good go, I just feel Wigan will be too strong.

Catalans Dragons vs London Broncos (Saturday 5pm)

London have already won in France this season and it was a convincing win at that, if they can repeat it then the three teams above them will really start to sweat. Catalans have a point to prove though after a poor display at Headingley and with the Broncos struggling of late, the Perpignan outfit should pick up the points here.

Hull FC vs Salford Red Devils (Saturday 5pm)

Another huge game in the context of the league table as Hull look to put themselves in the box seat for second place. Salford are in good form and now sit fifth, you have to give Ian Watson huge credit for the job he has done. This will be a close-fought game and I don’t see more than a score between the sides.

Super League best players

Huddersfield Giants vs Castleford Tigers (Sunday 3pm)

Huddersfield fans should be very worried at the moment. They have a tricky run-in and much like Wakefield their confidence looks shot. Castleford are up and down but also have a tough end to the season so they need the points here. Daryl Powell will have his players fired up and they will win this convincingly I reckon.

Hull KR vs Wakefield Trinity (Sunday 3pm)

The biggest game of the weekend is at Craven Park on Sunday with the winners taking a huge step towards safety. Despite some useful loan additions, Wakefield are in deep trouble and you have to feel with Danny McGuire in their ranks that KR will do enough to survive. Rovers to win a nail-biter.
