Keith Senior’s Super League Predictions: Round 25

Warrington Wolves vs St Helens (Thursday 7.45pm)

Wembley dress rehearsal kicks off the week’s action and Saints come in as big favourites. Warrington’s game against Catalans last week reminded me of the old days but it wasn’t a good look for the sport. Wire have eight key men missing and have drafted Matty Smith in on loan. They will put up a fight but a strong Saints team will have too much for them.

Keith says: Saints by 10

Leeds Rhinos vs Catalans Dragons (Friday 7.45pm)

I’m not sure even Leeds fan could have predicted such a dominant performance at Huddersfield. Catalans come to Headingley after that controversial win over Warrington. They have Sam Tomkins and Michael McIlorum suspended which leaves them short in key positions. The Rhinos have momentum and they will carry that on here.

Wigan Warriors vs Hull KR (Friday 7.45pm)

There is a good feeling around Wigan again and their win at Hull last week was a statement that they can still win the big games. Danny McGuire has still got it! He was the hero as Hull KR got a crucial win over Castleford. This will be an interesting game given the beating Rovers got at the DW Stadium only a few weeks ago. It will be closer this time, but Wigan will be too strong.

Keith says: Wigan by 8

Castleford Tigers vs London Broncos (Saturday 7.30pm)

Daryl Powell is hugely frustrated with the inconsistency of his team but I still fancy them to make the top five. It was a tough weekend for Danny Ward and the Broncos as they were hammered by Salford while their rivals won. These teams have met twice already this season and I think this game will go the same way, with Cas winning comfortably.

Keith says: Castleford by 16

Salford Red Devils vs Huddersfield Giants (Sunday 3pm)

You have to give huge credit to Ian Watson and Salford. Many predicted they would fall well off the pace when Robert Lui left but Tui Lolohea has fit in really well. Huddersfield visit after their embarrassing performance against Leeds but will have confidence knowing they beat the Red Devils at the AJ Bell Stadium not long back. Salford are unpredictable at the best of times but I’ll back them to gain a crucial win on Sunday.

Keith says: Salford by 12

Wakefield Trinity vs Hull FC (Sunday 3pm)

Chris Chester’s side are in freefall and have been dragged into the relegation dogfight. They are boosted by the signings of Morgan Escare and Chris Green but they have a tough task this weekend. A wounded Hull side come to Belle Vue after two agonising defeats and Lee Radford will want to start building momentum ahead of the playoffs. I think the black and whites will win this and pile more misery on Trinity.
