Keith Senior’s Super League Predictions: Round 22

Hull FC vs London Broncos (Thursday 7.45pm)

Lee Radford will be expecting his Hull side to put in a better performance here after back-to-back losses. London have also lost their last two and with sides above them winning, they need to bounce back. It’s a tough place to go though and I think they will be edged out by the black and whites.

Huddersfield Giants vs Catalans Dragons (Friday 7.45pm)

Two sides here who were in freefall up until last weekend. Catalans were much-improved against Wakefield and Huddersfield shocked me with an excellent win at Salford. Because of how good the Giants were last week I can’t look past them for the win, especially on home soil.

Leeds Rhinos vs Hull KR (Friday 7.45pm)

The new signings have finally sparked Leeds to life, in particular Robert Lui. Hull KR have plenty of ex-Rhinos in their squad, including Matt Parcell, and will be motivated for this, especially after their humiliation at Wigan. It will be tight, tense and I can only see a try separating them.

St Helens vs Wigan Warriors (Friday 7.45pm)

All the talk has been about how this game is not on TV but it should create a better atmosphere at Saints. Wigan’s winning run makes this harder to call, however I still think they are behind Justin Holbrook’s side and I see it going a similar way to when they met in the opening round.

Wakefield Trinity vs Castleford Tigers (Friday 7.45pm)

Chris Chester was embarrassed by his sides showing in the South of France and Daryl Powell was frustrated by the Tigers loss to Leeds. This is crucial game and both need to bounce back. I can see Castleford starting to hit form over the next few weeks, starting at Belle Vue on Friday.

Warrington Wolves vs Salford Red Devils (Friday 7.45pm)

This is an interesting game because on paper it’s a comfortable home win, but Salford were big underdogs at Easter when they went to the Halliwell Jones and won. This time though they don’t have Rob Lui and his departure has left a big whole. Warrington will win this with something to spare.
