Keith Senior’s Super League Predictions: Round 15

Leeds Rhinos vs Castleford Tigers (Thursday 7.45pm)

It’s sad to see the Rhinos the way they are at the moment but full credit to Bradford last week who play with passion and desire. Castleford are also on a tough run at the moment and were disappointing in their defeat at Hull. The Tigers will be seeking revenge for their early season defeat at Headingley and I think they will get it.

Huddersfield Giants vs Hull KR (Friday 7.45pm)

These two teams did themselves proud in the cup last week, albeit with different result. The Giants fell to defeat against favourites St Helens but boy did they give it a good go. As for Hull KR, they showed what they are capable of by dominating Salford on their own turf. This will be a close game but after nearly turning Saints over, I fancy the Giants.

St Helens vs Salford Red Devils (Friday 7.45pm)

It was a scratchy performance at Huddersfield in the cup by Saints but they found a way to win. Salford are the most unpredictable team in the league and they proved that with their dramatic exit at home to Hull KR. They won at Warrington earlier in the season but I don’t think their best will be enough to topple St Helens.

London Broncos vs Wakefield Trinity (Saturday 3pm)

The Broncos had a week off last week and I think they needed it. They have won only three games this season but one of them was on the opening weekend to Saturday’s opponents Wakefield. Chris Chester is doing it tough with injuries and they were given a good game in the cup by Widnes. This will be close but Trinity should just have the edge.

Warrington Wolves vs Hull FC (Saturday 3pm)

What a fantastic cup tie Warrington and Wigan served up on Sunday and I’m sure that will have taken a lot out of the Wolves. Hull had a good win against Cas and have had a much longer rest than their opponents going into this game. However, Warrington put 60 on Hull earlier in the season and although it won’t be as one-sided this time, I still think Austin, Clark and Ratchford will prove too hot to handle.

Catalans Dragons vs Wigan Warriors (Saturday 3.30pm)

I never thought I would see a rugby league match played at the Nou Camp in Barcelona but here we are. It should be a real spectacle on Saturday and hopefully these two teams can serve up a quality game that leaves the first-time fans in attendance wanting more. Wigan hammered Catalans earlier in the year but this will be a different game. It will almost feel like a final so it should be a tight contest with only one score separating them.

Keith says: Wigan by 4
