Well here we go again! Will it be third time lucky for Great Britain? It has certainly been an interesting week with Wayne Bennett saying he is using this Lions tour as a trial for future England selections, which unsurprisingly hasn’t gone down well. His words are quite disrespectful to the Lions’ brand and the history of the shirt, and Great Britain is more than just England, right?

The next talking point this week is Wayne Bennett’s squad selection which I mentioned a few weeks ago was a recipe for disaster, and if a centre-wing partnership of Jack Hughes and Blake Austin isn’t evidence of that then I don’t know what is. Shaun Johnson returns for the Kiwis and I think he will have the bit between his teeth after his omission from last week’s squad. With him and Benji Marshall in the halves and with a much superior backline, I just can’t see anything other than a New Zealand win.
