Newcastle Knights superstar Kalyn Ponga has signed a $4.5 million deal with the club which will keep him at the club until the end of 2024.
Despite interests for an array of rival NRL and rugby union clubs, Ponga has put pen to paper with the Knights in a deal that sees him become one of the highest paid players in Rugby League history.
The 22-year-old has reiterated his desire to win a Premiership with the Knights and put an end to their 19-year title drought.
“I feel at home here,” Ponga said. “My family are settled in Newcastle and it just feels right here at the Knights.
