“Just got used to the other badge and got it tattooed on my leg” – How social media reacted to Wakefield’s new badge and kit

Wakefield Trinity

Ahead of 2022, Wakefield have unveiled a sleek new badge and kit for the new season. Both are somewhat radical in their move away from the traditional designs and have been greeted with a mixed response. With that in mind, let’s look at how social media reacted to the reveal of Wakefield’s new kit and badge.

There was some confusion over the sponsors on the new kit. One supporter was perplexed to see one of the sponsors absent when they bought it.

Meanwhile, one fan liked the new shirt but was disappointed by the new logo.

Others felt the new logo was a much sleeker look.

That said, plenty of supporters felt the need to question why the badge has been changed.

Some even claimed that the new design is cheaper.

Unfortunately, one fan was left devastated after getting the old logo tattooed.

Meanwhile, some supporters saw the new logo and kit as a sign that a new era is well and truly in effect. They believe they could be quite successful moving forward.

Others weren’t so pleased believing that new kit is the ‘worst’ Wakefield have produced. It’s safe to say this comment produced considerable backlash.

Meanwhile, one supporter stated that they support the club no matter what. So long as they wear the traditional white, blue and red of Trinity they’ll be happy.

However, most fans liked the new design and couldn’t wait to purchase it.
