Castleford have confirmed that experienced forward Junior Moors will depart the club, following the conclusion of the Tigers’ season.
The 34-year-old joined the West Yorkshire side in 2015 from Melbourne Storm, having previously played 70 NRL games and earning three caps for Samoa.
His size and offloading ability was an instant hit with the Tigers fans and Moors has since gone on to make over 100 appearances under Daryl Powell.
He is the fifth player confirmed to be leaving the Tigers, with Matt Cook, Robbie Storey, Joe Summers and Lewis Carr all heading to pastures new.
“Junior’s been a phenomenal servant to the club,” said head coach Powell. “He’s been fantastic during his time at Castleford.
“Towards the back end, when he got over that terrible injury that he had, he’s been pretty strong as well.
“Matt Cook is another player who’s been with us a long time. He’s been fantastic, both on and off the field he’s been amazing.
“He takes the mickey out of me a fair bit as well, so there’ll be less of that next year, I don’t know whether to laugh or cry about that one.
“They’re two players, there’s a couple of others as well (leaving) but I think clubs will be wanting to make announcements on players, so I’ll leave that to those guys.”
