Josh Hodgson suffering from a virus

Canberra Raiders co-captain and hooker Josh Hodgson was absent from his side’s public training session ahead of the 2019 NRL Grand Final due to a virus.

Raiders head coach Ricky Stuart is preventing Hodgson from training and keeping him from the rest of the playing group until he has recovered.

Whilst the chances that the English International will miss the Grand Final over this is minimal, however if this virus does not subside soon and the hooker does not return to training in the next couple of days, the Raiders game plan and preparation for the Grand Final could be hindered.

The Raiders will head to Sydney tomorrow morning, ahead of the Dally M Awards Ceremony tomorrow night and of course the NRL Grand Final on Sunday.

With this upcoming busy schedule, Hodgson will want to rest up well today and be recovered for the trip to Sydney tomorrow.
