Josh Griffin has taken to twitter to share his displeasure at comments made by BBC pundit Jon Wilkin in Hull’s Challenge Cup semi-final defeat to St Helens.
Griffin went down clutching his Achilles after stepping out of a tackle, but instead of going to ground with the ball, the Hull centre dropped it.
Theo Fages picked up the loose ball and raced under the posts, much to the chagrin of the Hull support who let out a chorus of raucous boos.
Jon Wilkin, in the BBC studio, believed Griffin should have gone to ground and seemed to underplay the injury.
Griffin, however, has hit back on Twitter.
John Wilkin must be toughest man in Rl history. Yeh I should of done better with holding on to the ball but don't compare a ruptured achilles to a cut. 🤡
