Warrington Wolves went down 34-18 to Hull KR on Friday night in what looked a lot closer than what it really was.
They were down 20-0 at one stage before mounting somewhat of a comeback to go down 34-18, but it was far away from the performance head coach Daryl Powell would have liked.
That sparked the ire of Warrington fans who were dismayed by their side’s performance – particularly after such a long travel.
Powell himself said he would speak with disgruntled Wolves fans in a bid to explain how he would improve the club’s current status.
But, although everyone is entitled to their own opinion, that opinion should not stretch to vile abuse which is what Warrington winger Josh Charnley was subjected to after the game.

Former rugby league forward Keith Mason tweeted: “What about this for hate crime @finalwhistlenow @Joshuacharnley is an outstanding professional rugby league player and an a amazing family man!! These people need reprimanding and banned for life from any sport including @Twitter @SuperLeague.”
Charnley was in a defiant mood, responding in brilliant fashion that was both short and sweet.

There is no room for abuse in sport and hopefully this will be taken further and addressed in the right manner.
