Jordan Abdull speaks out on Warrington Wolves’ bad form under new boss Daryl Powell

It’s fair to say that Warrington Wolves have not exactly been pulling up trees in 2022 so far.

Under new head coach Daryl Powell, the Wolves have won just three games from a possible six – including a dismal 38-22 loss to Wakefield Trinity at the weekend.

And, for Hull KR halfback Jordan Abdull, he in unsure why Warrington just aren’t clicking at the moment.

“You can say it’s down to having a new coach and setup but their squad is more than good enough to be beating the likes of Wakefield especially on their home pitch,” Abdull told the Super League Show.

“There is definitely something going wrong at the club but with the players they have at the club they should be able to turn it round but it doesn’t look like it at the minute.”

The Hull KR halfback was also keen to stress the pressure that Powell will be under to perform with Warrington’s expenditure.

“It’s a massive pressure club they demand success and spend a lot of money on the salary cap and when you spend a lot of money on players you demand trophies at the end of the year.

“But, at the minute they are way off where they need to be.”
