Jon Wilkin says this Super League side “is a massive problem”

Hull KR made it five wins in a row last night and moved level on points with Wigan Warriors in second.

They look a very settled side and at present seem guaranteed to make the play-offs.

This is what creates a big problem for other Super League sides – such as Leeds Rhinos who currently sit outside the top six on points difference – as it leaves one less spot to get into the six.

The same could be said of Huddersfield Giants and other top teams expected to make the play-offs at the start of the year.

This is Jon Wilkin’s assessment who said:

“Hull KR are a massive problem for some sides. They are sat comfortably in that top six and people didn’t expect it and there are some sides we did expect to be in there so it get is really interesting and it is getting really congested and Leigh pushing up there.

“Hull KR being high up there is a problem for a lot of Super League sides who want to be there because that is not a formula that goes.”

Meanwhile, Phil Clarke said that under Willie Peters Hull KR can become the best side in the country:

“It has been about 40 years since Hull KR were the best side in this country and he has a great chance to take them back to that level.

“They have great foundations and not many sides or clubs have the support that Hull KR have at present.

“That has to provide for them. Every team says our supporters helped us but this is different. Not every team has that.”

Well, somewhat premature, but correct me if I’m wrong. Didn’t we finish in the top six two seasons ago, progressing to the semis?
