Jon Wilkin says Super League side “have been pants all season”

Tonight Hull FC and Wigan Warriors collide.

Both sides won just before the international game.

The Black and Whites defeated Huddersfield Giants to end a seven game losing run which started after two wins in two games to start the season.

The Cherry and Whites meanwhile are in town after a brilliant winning run including wins over former league leaders Warrington Wolves and Super League and World Champions St Helens.

Their latest win over Wakefield Trinity put them top of the league.

Ahead of tonight’s game, Jon Wilkin has spoken on both clubs.

He even described the Black and Whites as “pants all season.”

“Hull FC have been pants all season. They make a load of signings and we all get excited but then they let us down every year,” he said on Sky Sports.

“As a pundit it is difficult because I want to say something positive about Hull FC but I rarely get something but I did last week when they beat Huddersfield.

“And everyone in the game is hoping that is what gets Hull FC started.”

Meanwhile, on Wigan Warriors, Wilkin said: “If you want to see an intense team play watch Wigan Warriors.

“They are young and hungry.”
