Leeds Rhinos may have made the Grand Final last year but they have been inconsistent in 2023.

They have lost the last two and tonight they take on Wigan Warriors who sit second in the league.

Speaking on Sky Sports previewing the fixture, Jon Wilkin has said he doesn’t think Leeds will make the play-offs.

When asked he said: “No, I don’t think so,” he went on to add that Leeds are only the seventh of eighth best team, “Leeds I think are fifth, sixth, seventh best in the competition and they’re  a chance but they’re currently tracking at seventh or eighth.

“They could get on a run, they’ve done it before, they know how to get to the big games without actually being in a great position.”

He also expects Wigan to defeat the Rhinos today:

“I fancy Wigan to bounce back. Wigan got rolled against Hull FC, they were like a dog that growled a bit then rolled over and got it’s belly scratched by Hull last week and Matt Peet will hate that.

“It’s so un-Wigan like so I’d expect a big reaction from Wigan.”

The game kicks off at 20:00 tonight and is live on Sky Sports. It is a repeat of last year’s semi-final when Leeds stunned Wigan to book their place at Old Trafford.
