Jon Wilkin reveals crazy statistic about star Super League signing

Jon Wilkin was very critical of Warrington Wolves going into the 2023 Super League season based on last season.

The Wolves finished 11th last season, their worst Super League finish.

Wilkin put the pressure on their star players to perform and they have done that.

They are unbeaten at the top of the table and new signing Paul Vaughan has been key.

Speaking on Sky Sports, Jon Wilkin was full of praise for him revealing a crazy statitsic:

“Warrington, their form and continuing to be unbeaten at the top of the league.

“I want to focus on Paul Vaughan. Sometimes you bring in overseas players and you want them to have an impact and he has had a huge impact.

“He came over from the NRL with maybe a mixed reputation and something to prove and he has taken it on himself to prove it.

“He is constantly over 200 metres, typically you make 130 metres and he is munching metres like food for the Wolves.”

He was also full of praise for Hull KR’s Jordan Abdull:

“Hull KR vs Leeds was a masterclass in how to play in really bad conditions, I grew up in Hull and I know how bad conditions can be over there and Jordan Abdull management of the conditions was really good and his kicking game was exceptional.

“He has a rocket of a left boot and it was inevitable Leeds would make mistakes.”
