Jon Wilkin makes worrying Leeds Rhinos prediction

Jon Wilkin has made his prediction of where Leeds Rhinos will finish in 2023.

Perhaps to the disdain of Leeds fans, he believes the Rhinos will be lucky if they finish in the top four.

Wilkin said on Sky Sports: “I said fourth, fifth or sixth is a good result for Leeds, even after this start to the season.

“The history of the last 24 months I am telling you that Leeds aren’t in the top four clubs in Super League.

“I would be happy for them to prove me wrong, I think they’re an amazing club and have a rich history with success.

“I look at that club in awe but on the field they’re not where they want to be.”

This comes as Jon Wells said they wouldn’t trouble the Grand Final makeup of 2023:

“I think they are a work in progress. I don’t see them pushing for a Grand Final spot this year.

“I look at how teams like Warrington have strengthened and my favourites Wigan are doing.

“This is a team that is capable, but I think they are two or three quality players away from challenge the likes of St Helens, Catalans, Wigan and Warrington but they are making strides in the right direction.”
