Jon Wells left stunned by the atmosphere from two sets of Super League supporters

Sadly there is no Super League action this weekend but we have been treated to some brilliant games so far this season adorned by some amazing atmospheres.

That was the case again in Round 10 when Jon Wells was left amazed by two atmospheres.

He said of the atmosphere at St Helens as they defeated Warrington Wolves:

“A word on the atmosphere here tonight. It has been an absolute wall of noise from the start. The Saints fans cheering every tackle appreciating the step up in gear back at home.”

Likewise he said of the Hull KR fans away at Castleford Tigers that it was like something he hasn’t seen for sometime:

“A word on the away fans from Hull KR, I haven’t heard away fans like that for sometime.”

Phil Clarke was also left stunned by the Hull KR fans:

“I just want to point out the travelling support. It is like something I have not seen in a while at Hull KR and this has helped them tonight.

“Lots of good work being done by Hull KR behind the scenes as well. Good things happening at Hull KR.

“Backing up a win against St Helens, coming here to Castleford and backing up that win at a ground that they have struggled at in the past.

“You can tell because of the travelling army of fans that something special is happening at the club.

“There is something happening at that club.”
