Jon Wells almost certain Super League club will make the play-offs

At the start of any season there is talk about title contenders but often we are proven wrong in these predictions.

One of the clubs who are defying the odds in terms of these predictions is Hull KR are currently in the mix at the top of Super League.

They have certainly surprised Jon Wells of Sky Sports.

Wells believes they are a club who are re-positioning themselves and have become a side he expects to make the play-offs.

“I didn’t know that Hull KR would be sitting in the top four at this stage in the season and in with a real shot of doing something special this year,” Wells said.

“I knew at the start of the season with the squad they had assembled that they would be in the play-off mix but they are a club who have re-positioned themselves from play-off hopefuls to play-off probables.

“They have re-positioned themselves because of key changes on and off the pitch.

“What has been key is the fact they have one of the best defences in Super League and that will be a huge problem for other teams.

“They are going at this double handed, on and off the field.”
