Johnstone: We owe Warrington one

Hull FC hooker Jordan Johnstone has said his side owe Warrington Wolves one on Friday following the previous clash between the two.

In the one of the final matches before lockdown, Warrington beat the Black and Whites 38-4 at the KCOM Stadium, in what turned out to be Lee Radford’s final match in charge.

The hooker slammed his side’s performance in that match, and says the players are determined to put it right.

He said: “Our last game against them was embrassing to be honest. The performance from minute one to minute 80 was unaccpetable by our standards, so we definitely owe them one.

“We couldn’t be in a better place. We were written off all week coming into the game against Huddersfield, and we just turned up for one another.

“Hopefully we have a bit of momentum behind us, one win can do wonders, and hopefully we can turn up and do the job again.”
