Joe Lovodua has become one of the most inspired signings of the 2022 Super League season.
The Fijian international made the move to the MKM Stadium with relatively little fanfare given his lack of game time in the NRL for South Sydney Rabbitohs.
And, with only a one-year deal signed – with another year in the club’s favour – it was perhaps predicted that Lovodua would not stick around for long.
But that couldn’t have been further from the truth with the versatile back and forward enjoying a stellar season in the Black and White of Hull FC, playing in the halves, at hooker and even in the back-row.
And, now it seems that Hull have triggered the option of a further after Rugby League Live published a list of those players whose future is yet to be determined – with either no deal given to a player or a club is still waiting to decide.
Lovodua’s name is not on the list which could suggest that he has been given a new deal at the MKM Stadium – of which would be thoroughly deserved for his performance so far in 2022.
