Jesse Sene-Lefao walks off in agony on Featherstone Rovers debut

Jesse Sene-Lefao (21) of Castleford Tigers evades the tackle of Luke Gale (7) of Leeds Rhinos

Featherstone Rovers fans will have been praying for good news when they saw star signing Jesse Sene-Lefao leave the field in agony in the opening 15 minutes of their first Championship fixture against the York City Knights.

Sene-Lefao had looked certain to score off a neat little Morgan Smith pass, but he knocked on over the line under heavy pressure from York fullback Matty Marsh.

The Samoan international moved gingerly after, clutching his arm before leaving the field in a temporary sling for his shoulder.

Sene-Lefao was later confirmed to have succumbed to a dislocated shoulder.
