Jesse Sene-Lefao sparks rumours of move after buying local pub

Jesse Sene-Lefao will not be a Castleford Tigers’ player in 2022.

He will, however, be owner of the Nevison Leap on Ferrybridge Road in Pontefract after purchasing the pub.

The pub adds to an already impressive portfolio of businesses which include both a property and t-shirt company.

And, what it also does is stifle rumours of a move to Catalans Dragons, which had been speculated ever since former Castleford Tigers teammate Tyla Hepi commented on an Instagram post “Good luck at Dragons 🐉 @jsenelefao you’ll love that ☀️ 🏝 🇫🇷 ”

A move to Salford Red Devils had also been mooted, but Sene-Lefao appears almost destined to stay local with another, new business venture secured.

That has added to speculation that the second-rower could be joining Featherstone Rovers, where he would link up with close friend Junior Moors and former teammate Tom Holmes.

With over 100 Castleford appearances to his name, Sene-Lefao in his five seasons as a Castleford player has helped the club reach both the Super League Grand Final and the Challenge Cup Final, as well as lift the League Leaders’ Shield.
