Brian McDermott has been counting the cost of Featherstone Rovers’ trip to Catalans Dragons after two important players picked up injuries.
Strength and Conditioning coach Lee Paterson talked about the aftermath of the trip to France, whilst also giving an update on Jesse Sene-Lefao who has been out since round one after dislocating his shoulder against York City Knights.
“Pickers (Brandon Pickersgill) might be a little bit sore, he twisted his knee and I think it might be an MCL strain,” Paterson told the Featherstone website.
“I believe Fez (Brett Ferres) has broken his thumb quite badly so he will be missing for a few weeks and it’s frustrating because he’s worked so hard to get back.
“Jesse (Sene-Lefao) is working really hard, hopefully this week he will be back in full training as much as possible.
“It’s been quite frustrating for him, the injury has been more or less ok but he’s had some bruising on his nerve so it’s been a while for that to come back.
“It’s just a case of wait and see.”
