Jamie Jones-Buchanan will take charge of his first Leeds Rhinos game this weekend.
His side will come up against Castleford Tigers on Saturday afternoon with the fixture broadcast live on the BBC.
But, having taken over on an interim period, Jones-Buchanan has revealed which player has ‘blown’ his mind in training.
“He’s blown my mind has Fusitu’a,” Jones-Buchanan said.
“I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a big man have so many silky skills.”
Whether Fusitu’a will play or not following an injury sustained a fortnight ago remains to be seen, but Jones-Buchanan reveals he is ‘in the mix.’
“He’s in the mix, player welfare is really important and we’ve got to make sure they are fit and healthy.
“I really hope he is available but I’ll be leaning on the physios to make sure he is in the best frame of mind mentally and physically.
“We don’t want any issues against Cas, there is a possibility but it’s 60/40 for him not to play.”
However, Leeds will definitely be without hooker Corey Johnson who been ruled out after suffering knee damage playing for the reserves against Wigan last Friday.
“I don’t know how serious it is,” Jones-Buchanan continued. “The last time I saw him, he was on crutches and had a brace on.
“I don’t know how long it will be or how precautionary that is.
“He certainly won’t be running around this week – he has got a pretty sore knee at the minute.”
