To many State of Origin is the pinnacle of rugby league and we saw it again yesterday as New South Wales clashed with Queensland.
Many have suggested that State of Origin is the difference between Australia and their rivals on the international stage.
So, with that in mind St Helens legend and former NRL star with St George Illawarra Dragons and Canterbury Bulldogs James Graham and current NRL star with the Sydney Roosters Brandon Smith answered a fan question Graham’s podcast: “Top three players that you wish you could have seen play Origin?”
Smith instantly said: “I was thinking Adrian Morley.”
The former Leeds Rhinos and Warrington Wolves star caught the eye in the NRL with Sydney Roosters.
Graham echoed the sentiment with Morley and also picked out fellow England star Sam Burgess as well as Ruben Wiki: “My top three in no particular order are Sam Burgess, Adrian Morley and Ruben Wiki.”
Smith then said Burgess would be number one: “I’d definitely have to go Sam Burgess, he’d be my number one. Then Fuifui Moimoi, them against each other would be preferable.
“Then probably Adrian Morley.”
