Former England and St Helens captain James Graham has a new job in rugby league.
After ending his playing career in style by winning the 2020 Super League title with St Helens, Graham has returned down under to head up St George Illawarra’s female academy pathways programme.
Graham, who played in the NRL for the Dragons between 2018 and 2020, is the latest high profile name to join up with a club in the Women’s Telstra Premiership.
Speaking on the appointing, St George’s CEO Ryan Webb said: “This will lead to the better identification of talented young female footballers from our regions as well as improved development programs.
“This is all done with the goal of having a highly competitive NRLW team made up of great local talent.”
Graham will combine his new role with TV punditry for the men’s NRL competition, having become a cult figure in the sport down under over the last decade.
