Jake Connor’s temperament questioned by pundit as performances questioned

Jake Connor is undoubtedly a star player in Super League.

He registered a huge 33 assists in 2022 which was more than any other player and that was in a struggling Hull FC team.

Now though Leon Pryce has questioned Connor’s temperament but said when he gets that right he’s a top player:

“Sometimes I question his temperament but when he gets that right he is a special player.”

Speaking ahead of the Giants’ clash with Salford Red Devils in the Challenge Cup, Pryce also had his say on why things aren’t going as well as Connor might have hoped so far.

“Jake Connor is a fantastic player but I don’t think it’s been quite working for him at Huddersfield Giants just yet,” Pryce said on Viaplay.

“I think part of the reason is he’s come back from injury and the balance of the team hasn’t been quite right.

“He is a very skilful player and I am sure he will come good for the Giants at some point.”

Connor was key to Huddersfield’s two amazing comebacks that night though his one miss from seven attempts proved crucial in the end.

The Giants take on Castleford Tigers this week.

They will be seen as the favourites for the clash against their West Yorkshire rivals but need a win just as much as Andy Last’s Tigers.
