Jake Connor to play for Hull FC despite broken hand

Jake Connor has been named in Hull FC’s 17-man squad for this afternoon’s clash with Wakefield Trinity, despite initially being ruled out with a broken hand.

Connor fractured his hand in Hull FC’s clash against Leeds Rhinos in Tom Briscoe’s testimonial and head coach Brett Hodgson had originally planned a comeback for a few rounds later, but the England international will take his fullback spot.

Jamie Shaul would have been hoping for a spot at fullback following Connor’s absence after spending most of pre-season training on the wing, but Shaul has been left out altogether with Connor Wynne coming into the centre for Carlos Tuimavave.
