Today Huddersfield Giants star Jake Connor returns to Hull FC for the first time since he left the club at the end of last year.
Speaking ahead of the game he underlined his excitement:
“Yeah it’s exciting, when I was injured I didn’t think I’d make it because I didn’t know how long it was going to be. I’m here now and I can’t wait, even to see some old faces as well,” he said on BBC Radio Leeds.
“To go back to the club where I spent a long time is going to be quite an exciting day but there’s only one job in my mind and that’s to get the win.”
He did however say he is not bothered by the reception he will get on his return: “I don’t quite know. I don’t know if I’m bothered what I get, there’s probably a few boos here and there and maybe a cheer but we’ll see on the day. I’ll probably try and bother them more them more than they bother me this time.
“Course it’s a big game, if you look at the league table they’re not where they want to be but they’re still challenging teams. Scorelines don’t always tell the tale of the game. We’ve done our preview and we know what they can do if we let them.
“We’ve just got to focus on what we can do, obviously we’re a defence team first so if we focus on them bits and keeping them in their own half then we should be alright.”
