Jake Connor will not be playing in either the halves or at fullback for Hull FC in this evening’s game against Toulouse Olympique.
Instead, the maverick has been handed the centre role with Will Smith coming in to make his debut in the halves for the Black and Whites.
Brett Hodgson has made three changes to the side that lined up against Castleford Tigers last weekend, with new recruit Will Smith making his debut, starting in the halves alongside Luke Gale, with fellow playmaker Jake Connor moving to centre.
Meanwhile, young winger Harvey Barron is also in line to make his senior debut, being named on the bench.
Young forward Matty Laidlaw also comes into the side, with Connor Wynne and Ligi Sao both dropping out through suspension. Joe Lovodua also drops out through illness.
Chris Satae (ankle), Josh Griffin (quad), Adam Swift (leg), Manu Ma’u (hamstring), Ben McNamara (back), and Cameron Scott (groin) remain on the sidelines, as well as long-term absentees Carlos Tuimavave (Achilles), Andre Savelio (knee) and Joe Cator (Achilles).
