Jackson Hastings admission as he prepares for Super League exit

Jackson Hastings has admitted that he does not know where he will play once he makes his Wests Tigers debut as he prepares to leave Super League and the UK.

According to the Daily Telegraph, travel restrictions mean he is on a waiting list to be allowed back into the country.

That, in turn, means the halfback will not leave until this week.

Hastings revealed that it was former Wigan Warriors head coach Michael Maguire who convinced him to join, but the halfback knows that he will have trouble nailing down a permanent first-team spot.

“I met him a couple of times and his drive, passion and enthusiasm is what I’m fond of,” Hastings said.

“Like Madge (Maguire) I want to be part of turning the tide with the club. I’m passionate about doing that. I’m going to work hard and have enthusiasm.

“I don’t expect to play in any one position. I’m just grateful to be back in the NRL. I see myself as a halfback but I will play anywhere that will benefit the team and its success.”
