Jack Owens has joined Sheffield Eagles on loan for the remainder of the 2017 season.
Having joined Saints in 2016 from Widnes, Owens has made 33 appearances for the club but hasn’t featured since Keiron Cunningham was sacked last month.
Speaking on his departure, St Helens’ chief executive Mike Rush said: “Despite not having a great deal of first team game time, his attitude has been first class and he has worked hard.
“He has set a fine example to the younger players this season, particularly in his performances for our reserves, and the move allows him to gain more game time.
“We wish Jack all the best at the Eagles and in his future career.”
