‘It’s not looking great’ – Lee Radford provides the latest on Castleford Tigers halfback Danny Richardson and injury update on Adam Milner and Nathan Massey

There was a piece of bad news that hit Castleford Tigers yesterday when it was revealed that halfback Danny Richardson was in a neck brace.

The number 7 suffered a neck injury in Castleford’s 26-16 loss to Salford Red Devils last Friday and head coach Lee Radford confirmed that he will play no part in tomorrow’s fixture against Warrington Wolves.

“We’re looking at it more in depth,” Radford told the Yorkshire Post.

“They have obviously found something and he’s still with the docs still trying to find a little bit more to see where it’s at.c

“It’s not looking great.”

The former Hull FC boss also stressed that the club didn’t know how long the halfback would be out for.

Radford added: “It happened in the second half and it was a poor tackle technique.

“He copped one when he put his head in the wrong place which happens in this sport, unfortunately.

“We won’t know how long he’ll be out for until he speaks to the specialists. It’s still up in the air at the moment.”

The Tigers still have Adam Milner and Nathan Massey on the sideline, whilst Gareth O’Brien will come into the 17 after sitting out the Salford game.
