Last night Leeds came up with a crucial win at Hull FC to give their play-off hopes a massive boost. The Rhinos overcame a 6-4 deficit at the break to claim a 22-12 win over the Black and Whites. That was my view anyway but how did social media see it?
There was one man at the heart of the Rhinos’ comeback: Brad Dwyer. The substitute added spark and pace to the Rhinos as he began to open up the Hull defence again and again. He both scored and created a try as he helped Leeds to the win. He received plenty of praise with one fan making an interesting prediction about the impact Dwyer could have on the Grand Final if Leeds get there.
Away just now. Catching up on Leeds’ win last night. Given the impact everyone is talking about, I’m assuming that bookies’ odds have shortened on Dwyer kicking the winning drop goal at Old Trafford? With Dave Furner doing a live watchalong somewhere on Zoom. https://t.co/2voE5b2gE0

We showed lots of determination to stay in the game in the 1st half yesterday, gave ourselves a chance by doing so, 2nd half we were much better. Thought Smith had a great game.
But it was this moment that the momentum swung our way. Dwyer on + Leeming into the halves. ⬇️ https://t.co/K6rDPhmE0O

Ain't a clue how this mad ravaged Covid season is gonna end (if it does at all!) But all I know is if #LeedsRhinos have everyone fit and available and make the 6 then nobody will want to play them. Brad Dwyer ridiculous again tonight!!

He wasn’t the only gamebreaker for Leeds. Richie Myler came up with some massive moments as did Kruise Leeming. The Rhinos number nine moved to stand-off to accommodate Dwyer’s introduction and it worked a treat.
The one plus from this is Kruise Leeming, he’s playing very well.

The game wasn’t without its feisty moments however and they led to a hilarious interaction between Mikolaj Oledzki and the officials.
… @mik_oledzki : No sir, Yes sir, can I say something sir? 😂

In another controversial moment, some Leeds fans felt Connor Wynne should’ve been red carded for this incident with Richie Myler.
Myler did him a massive favour here. Had he stayed down I reckon they would have looked at it again. https://t.co/NsS1fhJhQZ

Unsurprisingly, Luke Gale’s recent controversy dominated the Sky Sports coverage of the game. It’s safe to say some fans were tired of hearing about it by the end.

Ultimately, Gale and his team put it behind them to claim a famous win culminating in this lovely moment between Gale and his coach.
Loved this moment tonight. pic.twitter.com/IbKoxqu6uD

Despite having a shot at the play-offs in 2021, the win mixed together with the news that Blake Austin could be signing for Leeds had Rhinos supporters excited for next season.
Imagine next year having Myler and Walker fighting for FB, Austin, Sezer and Gale fighting for HB, Dwyer, Leeming and Johnson for Hooker. 😍👌

Meanwhile, Hull fans weren’t happy at all. This supporter only had one thing to say.
Tragic
