London Broncos’ Hakim Miloudi has taken to social media to confirm this week’s Super League game will be his last as a professional. The Broncos face Warrington Wolves at the Halliwell Jones Stadium and while they have succeeded in climbing off the foot of the table, the club know they won’t be playing Super League next season.
With IMG grading set to decide the make up of the 2025 top flight, London are expected to be relegated and replaced in the top flight by Wakefield Trinity, who have made significant strides in their one year Super League absence.
As such, much of the current London squad will be leaving the capital at the end of the season, with some departures already being confirmed. Miloudi has now taken to X to outline his future, with the Frenchman insisting that he will be bidding farewell to the professional game this weekend.
“Last professional game for me this weekend,” he wrote on the social media platform. “It hurts my heart to say that my career in England is over
“I wanted to thank all the clubs I played for thank you to the players I’ve met, the coaches I had and the fans through all the teams. Thanks for having me and my family”
The 31-year-old first arrived in Super League in 2017 after making the move from Carcassonne to Hull FC, where he made 16 appearances for the club before moving on in 2019.
He went on to represent Toronto Wolfpack and Barrow Raiders with spells in France coming in between. However, he joined up with London Broncos ahead of the club’s first season back in Super League and he has played a key role for the club this season. He’s scored five tries in 23 appearances under Mike Eccles and like so many of his teammates, he’ll be striving to go out on a high against Warrington on Friday night.
