The Rugby Football League have officially postponed the 2019 Coral Challenge Cup Final, scheduled for July 18 at Wembley Stadium.

The AB Sundecks 1895 Cup Final, which was set to take place before the Challenge Cup final, is also postponed with provisional plans to stage both showpiece events at a later date.

“The intention remains for the finals to be played later in the year – contingent on the public health situation and Government advice,” said an RFL statement.

Rugby league activity was suspended in March with the Challenge Cup only at the sixth round stage, while the 1895 Cup had yet to begin.

Magic Weekend and the Challenge Cup semi-final triple-header in Bolton were postponed last month with fans who have bought tickets for any of the above events asked to visit https://www.rugby-league.com/covidfaqs.
