Injury Corner: Two big concerns for Warrington Wolves

The most important thing about pre-season is keeping your players fit and avoiding injuries.

Unfortunately that isn’t always the case, and a number of Super League clubs have injury and illness problems this week.

The Warrington Wolves lost two players to injury in the shape of new signings Gil Dudson and Sam Kasiano.

Worryingly for Warrington, Dudson has broken his hand, Kasiano’s problem is a hip injury.

Their loss is exacerbated by the red card for Josh McGuire which could see him cop a ban.

As for Leeds, James McDonnell and Derrell Olpherts missed the game against Hull KR through illness as David Fusitu’a missed the second half through a knock which left him “frustrated” at being taken off by Rohan Smith.

Meanwhile, a precaution saw Lee Radford not risk new signing Jacob Miller with the Tigers instead starting Paul McShane there.
