Injury Corner: Leeds sweating on quartet as Castleford suffer blow

It’s back to that time again when matches are coming thick and fast – if only as friendlies as teams prepare for the seasons ahead.

With the Championship and League 1 seasons starting before Super League, it’s been necessary to get good run-outs in order to gain match fitness – something which cannot be produced via training.

Of those fixtures completed over the weekend involving Super League sides, Hull FC and Wakefield Trinity both recorded no injuries, with FC going down to the Bradford Bulls and Trinity overcoming a strong Halifax Panthers side.

Of the other two fixtures which included top-tier sides, Leeds Rhinos and Castleford Tigers recorded injuries which both Richard Agar and Lee Radford will be hoping clear up before the season begins in early February.
