Injury Corner: Castleford Tigers, Hull FC and Leeds Rhinos struggling with blows as Warrington Wolves man still to sit out

It was Challenge Cup semi-final and final weekend at Elland Road.

With Leeds Rhinos Women and St Helens Women turning up a thriller in the opening game at lunchtime, it was time for Wigan Warriors and St Helens to do battle.

What a phenomenal game it turned out to be with Wigan eventually running out 20-18 winners, initially blowing Saints away in the first-half with a 14-0 lead.

Saints came back to hit the front at 18-14, but Liam Marshall’s runaway try settled proceedings.

Then it was up to Huddersfield Giants to serve a battering on Hull KR who only survived being nilled minutes from the end in a 25-4 drubbing.

Josh Jones and Innes Senior had ensured the Giants led 12-0 at the break before further tries from Jermaine McGillvary and Owen Trout made sure of the win.

Shaun Kenny-Dowall did respond for KR with minutes to go, but the day firmly belonged to Huddersfield.
