Ian Watson spoke to the media today ahead of Huddersfield Giants’ fixture against Toulouse Olympique tomorrow night.
One name that will not be on the teamsheet tomorrow night is Theo Fages who picked up a knock in the victory over Wigan Warriors last weekend.
And, head coach Watson has confirmed there is a concern ahead of the Challenge Cup Final.
“He’s just got a little niggle on the back of his calf near his knee,” Watson said.
“We are being cautious and it’s one of those where he needs to sit out and we’ve got full trust in Olly Russell, Jack Cogger and Tui Lolohea and then we go forward for the final.
“We will only know when we get there, it’s not good at this time – he took a knock in the semi-final and again in the Wigan game.”
Another player who will be kept a close eye on is Chris McQueen.
“He’s been training and doing bits of running – we could have pushed him for this game but if something goes wrong and he misses out on an occasion like a cup final, that is a big thing to miss out on.
“We have wrapped him up in cotton wool this week.”
