Ian Watson doesn’t include star signing in “strongest” team as he makes interesting wing decision

Ian Watson has revealed his strongest possible 13 at present as he has named his side today against Dewsbury Rams.

Watson confirmed on Thursday that we like see his strongest possible side with the likes of Jake Connor still recovering from injury.

Tui Lolohea appears for the first time in 2023 and Watson is true to his word that Lolohea is still his first choice fullback.

This sees Will Pryce start in the halves alongside Theo Fages.

Interestingly, natural centre Leroy Cudjoe and club captain starts on the wing as Esan Marsters and Kevin Naiqama debut in the centres.

Interestingly, new signing Jake Bibby starts on the bench after his move from Wigan Warriors.

Chris Hill and Olly Wilson start at prop with Nathan Peats making his second debut at nine after a loan spell in 2021.

Chris McQueen and Josh Jones start in the backrow and Luke Yates is at 13.

It seems Watson will change his entire team at the break with 13, a very strong, on the bench.

The game kicks off at 15;00 this afternoon in their last friendly before the Super League season.

The Rams are waiting for the start to League 1 season.

Huddersfield’s season starts a week later than anyone else with St Helens playing in the World Club Challenge delaying their Round One clash.
