“I hope he doesn’t bite my head off!” Former Hull favourite reacts to Klemmer situation

Parramatta Eels forward Frank Pritchard came off the pitch against Canterbury Bulldogs to find a social media frenzy after his altercation with Canterbury Bulldogs prop David Klemmer.

During the second half of yesterday’s match, which the Eels won 20-4, Klemmer was tackled by three Eels defenders and the Bulldogs player’s face came near to Pritchard.

Following on from that, referee Grant Atkins asked Pritchard whether Klemmer had “bit your face” and if he wanted to make a complaint. To that, Pritchard denied and the situation ended until he was asked about it by the press after the game.

“No, he didn’t [bite me],” he told the press.

“It was just a joke between Klemmer and I, you know, ‘Be careful he’s biting’. That’s it. The ref said ‘Do you want to make a complaint?’ I said ‘No, no’.

“I’m going to go see him (Klemmer) now. I hope he doesn’t bite my head off!”
